How would you compare this project with the hudson yards project? Also, how would this project with the development in Williamsburg over the past 20 years?
Williamsburg is by no means a direct comparison, given the multiplicity of developers and sites.
The Domino Sugar project, which is a one-developer megaproject, offers one interesting point of comparison, notably the provision of open space at the beginning of the project, not the end.
The Greenpoint Landing project in Greenpoint is also something of a single-developer project, but that has the advantage of a waterfront location.
Hudson Yards is becoming a very relevant comparison, given that Hudson Yards developer Related is rumored to want to take over most of the remaining Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park project. I have a couple of articles in process that will address aspects of that comparison, but one obvious one is HY is a lot bigger.
